The IMU University is a private English language health sciences university in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The university offers programmes in medical and other health sciences as well as MSc and PhD programmes.

All IMU University programmes adopt the principles of outcome-based education, whereby teaching, learning and assessment are constructively aligned to programme educational objectives (PEO) and programme learning outcomes (PLO). These outcomes are designed to ensure that the graduate is ready for the workplace.

Industry Partnership

Industry Partnership seeks advice from the Industry Partners to chart the University direction, aligning to the industry needs and demands in order to produce high quality, sought after graduates.

We work closely with industry partners to find innovative solutions to challenges and to bring the real world into the classroom. The Unit’s main objectives are to create mutually beneficial collaborations that will drive sustainable engagement between the university and industrial stakeholders to enrich the three key domains of the University: research, education and healthcare.

Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP)

The Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP), introduced by IPE, helps students secure internships and placements. Through early industry exposure, students gain valuable experience and improve their career prospects. This comprehensive programme covers career development, internships, and placements for all undergraduate students.

GTP is a structured learning and development initiative designed to provide graduates with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to kick-start their careers. The programme aims to bridge the gap between academic education and practical work experience by offering a combination of classroom training, on-the-job learning, and mentorship opportunities.
